Do you start your day like the way the rest of the early risers do?

Black coffee with 2 slices of toast may not be complete without watching the morning news, right?

Just like you and the rest of us, we look forward to the morning routine.

This morning’s news program was not unusual until a segment of the program titled “Better Living” had caught my attention. The segment title itself can always draw viewer attention. Who? On this planet would not want a better life in a rat race world?

Well, the segment had showcased the best of the best luxury vehicles one can dream of owning. The cost? USD200,000 and above. The host was so overwhelmed with the car show tour by having to feel, smell the expensive interiors and test the latest wireless car gadgets one can imagine.

The host had shared the opinion that there is a sharp rise in the middle-class segment and can work harder and be happier by owning any one of the luxury vehicles. Well anyone is entitled on how to spend his/her money as desired.

I am glad of my simple needs and contented with my 8-year-old diesel engine SUV, granted that If I have the means.

Will you be chasing the “carrot on the stick” to pursue happiness?
